Simplicity and Cores

It is highly recommended that for plain, non-post core build-ups a light-cured resin composite be used. Z250 (3M) is one good choice for a core build-up. A layer not more than 2 mm should be placed and the composite should be light-cured for at least 20 seconds. Additional layers may be added as needed, and the preparation continued. This should provide for a very successful core build-up with no loss of material.
